Legislative Efforts:
For several years Attorney Zito focused her attention on the repeal of Connecticut’s death penalty testifying before CT’s Judiciary Committee until victory was won in abolition in Connecticut in 2012. Attorney Zito also testified and organized testimony in support of several legislative initiatives including the passage of new laws involving eyewitness identification reform, habeas reform, electronic recording of interrogations, raise the age legislation incorporating 16 and 17 year olds into CT’s juvenile justice system, and house arrest for DUI offenders. She also testified and organized testimony in opposition to, among others, investigative subpoena power by the State’s Attorneys, DNA testing for felony arrestees, sentences of life without the possibility of release for persistent dangerous felons, and draconian sex offender registry requirements which bills were defeated in the Connecticut legislature. Attorney Zito currently sits on several subcommittees of the CT Sentencing Commission proposing several legislative initiatives to remedy problems with access to sentence modification, the sex offender registry, and mandatory minimum sentences among others.

Robert M. Axelrod
Robert M. Axelrod is Attorney Zito's former partner who is semi-retired. He continues to practice law part-time and is Of Counsel to Jennifer Zito. The two continue to practice together on select cases. Attorney Axelrod is a highly gifted and experienced criminal defense lawyer and civil litigator, formerly of Meriden, CT.
Sharntae Wilson
Sharntae ("Tae") Wilson works with Attorney Zito as a legal assistant and paralegal. Tae formerly served as a paralegal for the CT Secretary of State's Office and is proficient in criminal defense work and civil litigation. Tae is a mother of 3 and recently a grandmother! She has been with the firm since 2017.

Take Exit 17, toward the Merritt Parkway/Route 15 South. Immediately exit again off Exit 67 on your right following the sign to East Main Street. At top of exit ramp, take a left onto East Main Street. At the first light (Mobil station on your left), take a left onto Bee Street and enter the first driveway on your right into the parking lot of the Cloverleaf Building. Enter the building from the rear. Suite 103 is the first office on the left.
From Route 15, Merritt Parkway northbound:
